I was trained in firearm safety and useage at Rio Hondo Police Academy and am a member of our local gun club which fund raises primarily for children's programs. Target shooting is something I very much enjoy and practice regularly. In youth I studied and learned Kung Fu San Soo from Frank Woolsey, a Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo trained black belt. I've enjoyed membership with Seal Beach Yacht Club and delight in sailing as second mate to my lovable adventurous Captain.

This YouTube video is of Frank Woolsey in action. As my Kung-Fu San Soo instructor during the late 60's, Frank was an amazing martial arts instructor in that he taught students never to attack, but to defend. We held him in high esteem and had great respect for this powerhouse man as a roll model. He allowed me to attend as his first female and youngest student.
Frank was one of legendary Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo's first students and proved a most stealthy, cat like black belt. My lessons with Frank began in his first small studio in Downey California at the corner of Firestone and Woodruff Blvd. It was an honor to have known and studied through him as he was a rare treasure to his art.
